Day 3: a little disappointing
Whatever has been taught from last 2 days is considered as my routine now. Checked emails and voice messages from customers, and tried to solve all the problems. Still need to ask Curtis a lot of questions on how to handle different problems. I don’t want to make any wrong decisions. Curtis has a spreadsheet of all the possible questions customers may ask. Studied it for a while, and planning to make one of myself. Two new things learned: 1. the tracer to UPS. The so-called “tracer” is actually a claim to UPS for any lost parcels. Curtis showed me a whole pile of law cases happened when customers claimed didn’t get their orders. Doing tracer, though most of the time, UPS cannot find anything back, tells the customers at least we tried to retrieve their lost, though most of the cases, it’s the customers’ own fault. 2. Contact customer for declined orders due to their credit card or Paypal issues. Pretty simple. Mitch has a template of this kind of email. Just need to copy and paste. The whole day, still have a lot of time spot to fill in. When I have nothing to do, and dare not do anything else, just simply sit there and stare at the screen. It’s going to kill me!! When can they teach me something that needs to use my brain??
Day 4: Well well…
Maybe Mitch realized I’m not occupied. He assigned me to write descriptions for 3 new products to put on the website. Well, guess this is something require the activity of brain cells. Went to GooleProduct searched a lot similar products and based on their descriptions, polished mine. It’s a fun to read all these descriptions from different sellers and enjoy various product pictures. The size is a little problem: With my high heel and tight pants, I struggled to measure the dimensions of these products. However, Mitch returned my description, asking me to reword the whole thing in case we involve in any law case because of plagiarism. Plagiarism?? I changed almost everything! Finished the description at 11:30. Thank goodness, the whole morning is largely occupied. Replied emails and phone calls in the afternoon. Did the declined cases at the very end in case I cannot remember where I was tomorrow. When I didn’t really have a lot to do, just hang online. Guess it’s not a big deal. So what?! Cannot waste my time like that. Will paste my thesis and some articles online tomorrow so I can read at the office. I need to create my own working pace as long as I can finish my work on time.
